TELC German (B2)

The examination consists of a written and an oral part.  This examination tests important skills required for university studies and academic careers.

Test takers complete tasks in all skills. The receptive part consists of reading, listening and language elements. Task types include multiple-choice or matching tasks. In the productive part, writing and speaking, the test takers respond to input and express themselves in writing or orally. In the oral examination, the focus is on the direct exchange between the test takers.

Paper-Based Examination:

A paper-based TELC examination is conducted as follows:  

• The written examination is administered on paper, according to the General Guidelines for Conducting TELC Examinations.  
• The oral examination is conducted by examiners on-site at the language school. 

Hybrid Examination:

A hybrid TELC examination is conducted as follows:  

• The written examination is conducted according to the TELC standard on paper.  
• The oral examination is conducted via conference software in the virtual examination room. 

Digital Examination:

A digital TELC examination consists of two parts:  

• The written examination according to the TELC standards on a computer.  
• The oral examination via conference software in the virtual examination room
